2–3 weeks from upload of the patient's CT scan: 3D defect modelling, sign-off with the neurosurgeon, milling the implant from medical PEEK, gamma sterilisation, individual packaging and clinic delivery. Standard KTGB4 sizes can ship from stock within days.What are PEEK's advantages over titanium mesh and autologous bone?
PEEK produces no MRI artefacts (titanium mesh does), has low thermal conductivity (no cold sensation in winter, unlike titanium), and an elastic modulus ≈ 3.6 GPa close to bone. Versus autologous bone — no flap-resorption risk and no second harvest surgery. Suitable for complex multi-zone defects where titanium mesh is insufficient.
